HongKong Day 3 -Part 1
Now there are so many pictures. Wonder how am I gonna finish Day 3 without complaining. @#@!$.
Day 3 of my HongKong trip started with lighter case of the typhoon. Looks like NURI is about to rest her case and we are keeping our fingers crossed. I don't want to actually spend my time in Ocean Park with the rain and the wind but not the rides.
We still gotta join the Citytour and that brought us to our first (and only) dim sum eating of the entire trip.

It is actually still raining and the wind is kinda strong at that time of the morning.
海天渔港.
If you have not been to an actual Dim Sum restaurant in HK, I tell you it is just like those you see on TV or heard from others.

I think 90% of the customers are ah gongs and ah mas. I heard they can just sit and eat there all day long.

Very big lobsters.
Our dim sum dishes.
Century egg porridge. (Kinda bland but not too bad)
Fried carrot cake.
Char Siew pao. Damn mean! Unlike those you eat in SG which are mostly fatty meats(and I spat them out most of the time), those inside are solid lean char siew!
Har Kow.(However you like to spell that)
I dunno what this is. Some fried dough thing with I forgot what's the filling inside.
I dunno what this is either. The fillings are veggies stuff like turnip, peanuts etc. Not bad.
Siew mai. Surprisingly disappointed me. Maybe I was full or maybe it was cold by the time I ate it.
CCF which I didn't eat cos' one more mouth of anything else would cause me to vomit. No thanks to the indigestion which I always suffered when overseas. I realised this happen to those I know except Jason. -__-? Of cos' God is fair. He got fat and I didn't really...I think. Kwa Kwa~~

Overall presentation. I am not too much a big fan of dim sum cos' to me, dim sum is something that seems nice to eat and it's really enjoyable at the first few mouth. Then you get sick of everything altogether...Often too fast, too 'furious'.
After dim sum breakfast, (How classic in HK) we were brought to the HK Jewelleries making workshop or something.
Totally boring and I am gonna skip this part altogther.
Then we arrive to the beach. Now don't ask me what or which beach. I never memorise the name of those places I've been to,especially when Jason is with me..that is totally unnecessary for me.
Oh before that we sat on a boat ride (and saw JUMBO,the magnificent boat restaurant)and these are the pics.
(Note: You gotta pay for the boat ride)

We were told because of the rain & typhoon,if not we can expect 'river market'.

Note those flats behind? Can you imagine staying in such clustered buildings? Breathing seems impossible.

And JUMBO.

I wondered how does it feels to dine there and really...How is the food like? -Drools-

Our boat 'captain'.
It was either Mid Peak or the beach that we went before Ocean Park but trival detail like that doesn't matter here.
Beach first.

Fallen branches and wet floors.

If you ask me, coming to the beach witnessing the vast sea, strong and forceful waves, swaying trees and such strong wind...is something a lil' scary. I imagined Tsunami riding forward from the sea. Eeeks!

And some so-not-gonna-make-it-to-Baywatch lifeguards. Kwakwa.
At the other end was a temple.

Dun ask me why I squint. Either it was on purpose or it must be the wind.

That was our tour guide explaining the God of wealth.

This group of Koreans were trying to throw the coin in to the fish's mouth.
After we walked off from the temple,we heard a big 'pow' sound. It sounds like some broken bricks then we realised it was the waves hitting the harbour. Wha lao...Damn loud ok? Can you imagine it hits you? Fracture immediately!

Jason thinks it's nice to take a photo of the police station. =.= Oh..so the beach is called 'Qian Shui Wan'.
A small Starbucks Coffee outlet. I thought it must be somewhat romantic to meet someone special here.
The bus tour goes on with blah blah de blah. What and whose house. What and whose property and lands, what fengshui etc. I wasn't paying total attention sadly. But I did heard that the higher you stay signifies the richer you are. The only thing that I'm not so sure is staying uphills would be convenient and safe at all? What if the hill tumbles?
半山. I dunno if this is actually Victoria's Peak. I think it is ba but we can only go half of it due to the rain.

That is the best I can produce with all the rain, the fog and the 5.1mpx.

Finally we can go to Oceanpark. Amazingly the rain stopped and it is no more typhoon!!!
It is somewhat a dream to go Ocean Park. I mean...When you were young and are watching those HK drama series...Don't you actually wish to go Ocean Park?

Overhere..I have alot of unglam poses which I don't give a damn anymore lah.
Our tour guide has to 'ban sie' us here as we were the only ones going to Ocean Park. Now that is a good news. I hate following guide and playing with a restricted time frame.
We have to take the cablecars up hill and wheeeee~~

It is actually pretty high but I don't really have the fear for heights. I wish I could join the technician. Standing there without any surrounding windows!

I prefer taking my own photo.
We were greeted by the Kungfu Panda once we reached there...Ok..I missed out. That should be before the cable car ride.
Anyway...

I realised I was doing the same pose as Po so I quickly change...

hehehehe.

I don't give a damn about fighting shorties. Phhbbt.

Jason is not a match for Tigeress.

Trying to be like street fighters.

Po is Jason's best friend.
We didn't started the trip immediately with rides.

(Hahaha. The 'aiyah' pose complements with the 'twist' hand sign.)

It is just a few seals swimming around here. To give credits, it is Jason who took those shots. Mine are all blurry images of the moving creatures. I got bored within 3 minutes watching the seals. Not that I don't heartx animals but I don't come to Ocean Park to see these seals. Not before the rides.

I wannnaaaaa~~~~ play those!!!!
To play safe, we started with this first.
It is the 'Haw Par Villa' water splashing boat ride. I kinda expect the splash to be 2 rounds but who knows after the first splash, the ride is over.

Our second ride is this pretty scary looking ride! I was so psyched!!
It's called Space Wheel. Some 360 degrees going round ride.
I was kinda nauseous after the ride. No worries, I screamed my head off during the ride even though Jason was my 'seat belt'. It's a 2 seater ride and no 'seat belts inside. You are relatively safe within the 'cage'.
Not bad afterall!
What I really want is to try that. Think it is called Mine Train or something. I dunno why is it not opened. BOOO!!!
We had lunch under the Ferris Wheel.

How romantic huh? We didn't take the Ferris wheel cos' I think it is just a waste of time. First there is no excitement and you barely feel the movement.
McDonalds.
Do you know they have PORK burgers?
A filling lunch. Well, at least I have eaten Mac in another country.
By now my memories of every other step in HK are failing me. I THINK we went in the "Under water world".

I think we were the only one that were trying to be funny with the Jaws.

Think Underwater World but bigger. But the fishes didn't excite me that much. If it is a place full of doggies, it might be a different story.
We rest our stomach for a while before I finally attempted something which I wanted all my life!
I am not kidding when I said I wanted to sit on a 360 roller coaster ride all my life! I was so excited when I'm on the seat and quickly whipped out my hp for a quick snap.
I was screaming alright but I was feeling a lil 'd-uh' when the ride is SO SHORT!!! Our ears were a lil sore as a result of your head bumping left and right on the cushion.
Bumper!
Feeling brave enough, I told Jason we should try this.
It is those turbo drop thing you see in SG funfair except this is much taller and you are gaurantee magificent view of the SEA.

I don't dare to sit on this in SG but God knows what happened to my usual rationale when I was in Ocean Park.
A quick snap before the seat move upwards.
I told Jason to rem' I said sorry and he said he wanted to whack me.Hahaha.
I screamed when we were dropped and I only rem' Jason saying '不可怕的‘ after the second drop from mid level. Hmm...
It was indeed alot less scary than anticipated to be and honestly I'm kinda disappointed!
Feeling unsatisfied, I pulled Jason to the Pirate Boat and then we ended the last ride with this.

I first sat on this in Bishan UK fun fair like last year? This time round it just feel like taking swing and NOT SCARY DE LOH!
Sian.....but it was fun lah.
We wasted HKD50 on some silly games and walk away with this.(This is not a prize but more of a free gift.)
I called it 五十块.
Before we took the cable back, we went to see some more whale or a relative of it. Jason wanted to see so well..

I just rem' it was boring so no other photos here.
Our last stop is to see the Pandas.
'Gimme a five'
'Ouch!!'
Hehehe.

If I haven't seen pandas live, I would have no idea that pandas are so damn cute!

I guess you just have to visit the pandas when you are in Ocean Park.

So cute lo~~
Hehee...I purposely put 50 dollars infront. Looks pretty funny huh?
ARGHH!!!I CANT STAND IT LIAO!!!
i SPENT LIKE HOW MANY HOURS TO BLOG TO HERE!!!!!
And to carry on typing and copying and pasting the photos would drive me to the wall!!!
Sorry guys, part 2 of Day 3 would carry on in the next post. My patience is so running dry just sitting here for hours and recollating everything. Bad blogger,I know..but this is TOUGH ok?
ARGH!! Now I feel like @$@#@$%@%$^%$$%!
